Domes
Kilima Retreats features two luxury Geodesic Domes, each offering 50 square meters of space – ample room for four adults to enjoy a luxurious escape in the Quantock Hills. Our two lodges, Ingwe and Kifaru, are identical in layout, each designed with a luxurious all-in-one station that includes a bathroom, kitchen, mezzanine loft bed, and a ground-floor bedroom. Climate Controlled
The domes are fully enclosed, 100% waterproof, insulated, and heated. They are also equipped with solar-powered ventilation and passive air circulation. On cooler evenings, an enclosed wood fireplace provides warmth, while a smart assist fan keeps the space cool during summer.
Views
Enjoy breathtaking views through two large viewing windows, a nearly 180-degree panoramic bay window, and a skylight placed on the roof for optimal stargazing. In addition to the larger windows, there are three porthole windows that provide glimpses of the surrounding landscape. All windows are equipped with curtains for privacy and shade.
Self-Catering
The domes are fully self-catered, providing you with a convenient kitchenette that includes an under-counter mini fridge and an induction stove top. For those who enjoy cooking, there is a Ninja 6-in-1 multi-cooker available, allowing you to pressure cook, steam, air fry, slow cook, and even roast a small chicken. If you prefer dining al fresco, you can take advantage of the gas BBQ, complete with all the necessary utensils. Lastly, for guests looking to relax, the domes are equipped with Nespresso machines and cocktail sets, so you can easily prepare your favorite beverages.
Luxury Touches
Each dome can comfortably accommodate up to four adults, featuring a European King bed and a Double bed. The King bed is located on the main floor of the dome, surrounded by plenty of storage space for your belongings. The Double bed is situated in the mezzanine area, known as the "Sky Deck," which is aptly named for its perfect positioning under the roof skylight, ideal for stargazing.
The shower room is thoughtfully designed, featuring a shower, washbasin, and toilet. Comfort is prioritized with a large mirror and well-organized bathroom cabinets. For rainy days or for guests wishing to stay connected, WiFi is available, along with a smart TV that provides access to streaming services such as Prime, Spotify, and Netflix.
Outdoor Living
Experience the ultimate relaxation in each dome, complete with a generous patio area designed for your enjoyment. Kick back on the plush outdoor sofas, and when the summer sun blazes, simply raise the umbrella for a cool shade. As the evening approaches, gather around the gas patio heater to create a cozy atmosphere.
